More rumours pour in about Apple’s fingerprint technology that might be included in the next version of iPhone, Apple iPhone 5S. Analyst Brian White of Topeka Capital believes to have gathered enough information in his recent trip to China and Taiwan where he had meetings with component suppliers as details given by AppleInsider. Apple might use the fingerprint scanner for enabling better security for device operation and payment operations that might replace credit cards. Having better security will also help Apple to extent its enterprise market penetration that considers device security on all aspects to be an important aspect.

Apple’s fingerprint security implementation might be the key feature that Apple will be latching upon for iPhone 5S launch as SIRI was for iPhone 4S back in 2011. Apple’s acquisition of AuthenTec for $356 million in 2012 will be put to a good use says Brian. Implementation of fingerprint technology will be a move that competitors will not be able to copy as it requires enough space to include a large enough button/fingerprint scanner on the device and competing platforms like Android do not have enough space to accommodate a new hardware button without impending more confusion to the users.
Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo of KGI Securities also predicted that Apple might embed a fingerprint reader into the home button of iPhone, Kuo has a reputation of predicting correctly the features that Apple might include in their future device lineup. We have seen a good number possible reports from a series of bloggers as well earlier today on social networking site Branch, predicting inclusion of fingerprint reader in iPhone 5S.
